I definitely didn’t do a May Favorites post. Whoops.

TV

I’m totally late to this Riverdale parade but hi, it’s me. The thing about Riverdale is that it’s set up like a lot of other TV shows nowadays. The plot isn’t necessarily set up in an original format. It’s very Pretty Little Liars-eque the way it balances the secret identity of a character with the day to day life of teenagers. It also reminds me a lot of How to Get Away with Murder (my true love) based on the premise of figuring out who the killer is. Despite the lack of originality, this general theme always makes for a riveting drama TV series. Plus the Archie comics-based characters are all too easy to get attached to. Bonus points (+10) for how pretty Josie and the Pussycats are.

Accessory

This one you guys have already seen and I already predicted that I’d be in love with it. The purse/backpack I bought memorial day weekend is 10/10. It’s the perfect size to carry around the extra random stuff I always have for no reason. And I can put it on my back instead of weighing down one shoulder with a giant purse. I also carried an air freshener around in it for a couple weeks so it smells strongly of coconut sex wax (+5).

Game/App

I was in one of my summer classes and I was really bored so I downloaded this game to pass time. Now I’m addicted? I’m also really late getting on board with this. In case you were wondering, I did stop while writing this to play it.

YouTuber

I’ve been subscribed to Aspyn for a really long time. Well, since middle school when my YouTuber beauty guru phase started. Somehow I ended up on her vlog page and I gotta say vlogs are now kind of my guilty pleasure. It’s a little intimidating seeing a 20 minute video pop up knowing it’ll just show someone going about their day but Aspyn has such a natural presence on camera that I can’t help but watch. If it’s possible, I love her at home vlogs more than her travel ones. Also, I never realized she has a blog as well and now that I’m starting my YouTube channel, I’ve been inspired by the way she connects some of her videos to her blog posts.

Makeup

It’s crazy, I think I’m on the verge of somewhat regularly wearing makeup. I’ve been really into the Maybelline Fit Me foundation in the shade golden caramel recently. It has a super smooth finish and it’s very cost friendly. I actually already had this one so I have no idea why I hadn’t been wearing it before. Either way, my shade matches up really well with my skin tone (at least for now) and I’m super happy with it.

That’s all for now, Nia Shalise
