Over my spring break, my mom and I went away to Tampa, FL. While we were there, we visited Busch Gardens.
Outfit
Given the weather, short sleeves and shorts is always a safe bet for theme parks in Florida. For this particular day of the trip, I packed this t-shirt from Double Agent, a pop up shop. It reads “offline is the new luxury” which I found super ironic (hello, blogger?). Lighter colored t-shirts are always better for being out in the sun because the material will reflect the light and keep you a little cooler.
Because of the shorter length of the shirt I chose these high-waisted shorts. I paired the outfit with Nike running shoes because you won’t make it through a day at a theme park without a good set of sneakers.
As a side note, I totally intended to wear a bralette underneath but I forgot to wear it the day of. It wouldn’t show up under this kind of top but when you’re walking around all day, comfortable garments are much appreciated.
What’s in My Bag
Sunglasses are a good idea for theme parks especially when you have to wait in lines outside or when you’re just walking around. I also packed a shirt to change into after the water rides. Even if there aren’t water rides, it’s usually a good idea to bring an extra shirt in case you get sweaty and feel gross after walking around in the heat all day. I brought chapstick for obvious reasons, which was actually the only makeup I wore that day because I forgot it at home. Speaking of things I forgot, sunscreen is pretty important (whoops). I packed all of these items in a small backpack. This one has the Union Jack on it and I bought it at Delia’s (throwback much?).
Despite my overall lack of preparedness, my mom and I had a blast at Busch Gardens. I hope you all enjoyed your spring breaks as well.
With love, Nia Shalise
