It almost seems as though some people have so much going for them to impress colleges that they could skip over college entirely. So what does that mean for the rest of us?
Honestly I understand how daunting the idea of super successful peers can be in addition to the already demanding act of applying for limited spots for secondary education. So many people seem like they have it all figured out that sometimes you feel jealous, or terrified, or even disappointed in yourself.
These feelings are only natural but it’s entirely okay to not know what you want to do yet or have a lot of community service hours or club positions or good grades yet. Key word: yet. Like said, there are new opportunities and resources available to us every day to use. You can always research your interests or explore different classes to figure out what you like and work hard to reach where you want to be. Use the energy driving negative feelings to push yourself towards your goals, whether it be reaching the next level in your career or determining your field of interests. As long as you are continually working to improve yourself, and to be the best you you can be, you’ll be accepted somewhere suitable for you.
