Often times, in this tight-knit bubble of adolescent zoo, someone will do something that rubs you the wrong way, intentionally or unintentionally. Of course you’ll have some form of a response. After all, it’s natural. What you do next is your call. You could very well hold a grudge for several months, giving the person side eye glances and groaning to yourself but at the end of the day, that’s hurting you. You’re holding yourself down in a constant negative state over what that person did.
Letting it go doesn’t imply that you shouldn’t expect some form of an apology from said person and should just “get over it”. It just means that you won’t keep yourself from moving on with your life and let someone have power over you because you’re bothered by their actions. Maybe it was only a small incident or a big blow out but letting things go (regardless of if the person apologized), will help maintain your own happiness and keep you shining. 🙂
