March 20th has passed, new flowers are blooming, and South Florida’s weather is back in the 80s. In other words, spring is in full swing! People are hanging up their winter coats and bringing back out the tank tops in preparation for summer. Here are a couple different outfit ideas based on different styles.
Sporty
My first outfit has a sporty vibe to it. The t-shirt dress style has been really popular recently and I think it’s very fun and casual. I paired it with another recent obsession of mine: a flannel shirt. This particular shirt didn’t go very well with the dress only because it was designed to be super long in the back and it totally drowned out the back of the dress. However, it’s super versatile tied around your waist or loose around your arms when the seasonal breeze hits.
Casual
I’m not sure what kind of vibe to pin on this one but it’s most similar to my day-to-day wear. I paired my recently purchased bralette from Gilly Hicks (Hollister) with a high necked top as well as layered necklaces. Now that I think about it, my entire top wear in this outfit is from Hollister. My highwaisted jeans are honestly year round for me. I wasn’t sure if there was too much going on on top at first but the look grew on me. Spring is bringing around bralette season: it allows cute layers without overheating in the sun!
Floral
I feel like this is a way more “dressed up” look (considering I’m wearing a dress). Disclaimer: this post does not accurately depict the frequency of me wearing dresses. The floral design is perfect for spring as well as the babydoll shape of the dress. It’s just enough to bear the heat in style. I’m wearing a cardigan from Hollister as the dress is a bit on the shorter side, in addition to these mini-sneakers (??) I bought at H&M. The sweater has holes in it so it isn’t as hot as it seems. This sweater actually pairs well with a number of cute casual dresses.
These are a couple of my ideas for outfits this season. They are for the most part mindful to Florida’s indecisive weather (with sweater accommodations). I hope these gave you ideas for what to wear this spring. Stay cool!
