It feels like 2017 just started but February is already over! For me it’s been a month of adjustment: to managing a blog and other realizations. Here are some of my favorite things from February that helped me get through the month (and make it a bit more fun!):
Tea- Vanilla Cinnamon
Recently, I’ve been loving this vanilla cinnamon black tea from Trader Joe’s. As you can tell from the packaging, it was released for the holidays and it definitely lived up to holiday standards. I personally use a ton of milk and sugar in my tea but for this one I was able to stomach it black (health bonus!). It smells amazing and definitely was a part of my morning routine this month.
Accessory
I’m totally obsessed with collecting bags. Purses, clutches, backpacks: I love it all. Last month I found these cute pouches at Hollister on clearance. The small one on top says “sleeping ’til spring” and I think it’s so cute because it’s so lazy and the bear is drinking tea or coffee. I have absolutely no idea what I’m going to put in them yet but who could resist?
Trend- Bomber Jackets
I’ve wanted a bomber jacket for the longest and I finally got two of them in February. They’re so easy to throw on over any simple outfit and make you look put together. For all you lazy gals out there, this is an instant hit outfit maker.
Song- Shape of You
Best song ever. Enough said.
Show- The Mindy Project
The Mindy Project is probably the most relatable, underrated show. Mindy Kaling portrays a successful single woman and all the problems going on in the modern dating world. Watching her get over some of the awkward situations she gets into honestly got me through the month and mishaps of my own. This is a definite must-watch for any Hulu users out there.
Playlist- Study Vibes
As I mentioned in my night routine, I’m really into listening to instrumentals and electronic music while I wind down for the evening. The playlist “Study Vibes” on Spotify is super relaxing. A lot of the songs remind me of being in my own personal coffee shop. If you’re ever looking for a background study playlist, this is the way to go.
App- Momentum
Momentum is a Google Chrome widget that allows you to keep track of your focus and your to-do list for the day. When you pull it up, it greets you with your name. I think it’s really convenient for staying on task and the pictures brighten my day.
Food- Rice Milk
I made a wholehearted attempt to cut dairy out of my diet temporarily to see how it affected my skin. Unfortunately my efforts weren’t strong enough for my subconscious. In my ONE WEEK trial, I managed to get cheese and sour cream on my Chipotle AND a latte at Starbucks. Oh well. I did switch from regular milk to rice milk however and I’m totally sticking with it. The only downside is the amount of carbs in it but I work out a bit more often now so I’m sure it’ll be fine.
